Knowledge Transfer in Times of Demographic Change

Knowledge Transfer in Times of Demographic Change

Steffen Huth, Wolfgang Albeck
For most German companies managing demographic change is one of the main future challenges. However, many firms are not yet well prepared to face this development. Nowadays competition is primarily based on knowledge and hence enabling knowledge transfer between older and younger employees has turned to be a key success factor. In this paper we therefore develop a ‘Knowledge Transfer Balanced Scorecard’ in order to provide a hands-on tool for controlling the knowledge transfer process in times of demographic change.

Controlling als integrativer Bestandteil eines prozessorientierten Implementierungsmanagements
Helmut Baumgarten, Markus Pladeck
Constant business change and shortcomings in logistics systems implementation require more efficient methods and instruments for translating new logistics concepts and technologies into daily operations of organizations. In the scope of process-oriented implementation management a new controlling approach is pointed out, which merges the factors of success and potential barriers in today’s business practice. With a specific Balanced-Implementation-Scorecard project managers are thus given an innovative instrument qualified for precisely intervening in and controlling the whole process of logistics modernisation to increase the efficiency of their implementation.
