The increasing market share of electric vehicles and the deployment of renewable energies gives rise to new challenges regarding both the energy network infrastructure as well as mobility. The solution of the arising problems allows for synergies among these fields. The batteries of electric vehicles can be used as distributed energy storage systems to retain the stability of the energy network. To ensure the availability of the latter in the network, the vehicles must stay connected for a certain time intervals. As the batteries may also be unloaded, this leads to a paradigm change in contrast to the available concepts. In a first step, existing charging stations could be used for this purpose. To access the battery as a storage continuously, inductive load systems could be installed in the streets.
